IN MEMORIUM OF A FLESH

Sculpture / Video

Aluminium sculptures and a digitail space created by the use of real and 3D scanned teeth and bones. Those body parts can stay intact whey longer then the other parts of the body and hold a sense of one’s identity. This work is exploring the idea of afterlife, preservation and multiplication. The process of aluminium casting reminded me of burying beloved ones. After casting dead remains are getting a second life - forming a constellation that looks like a valuable art piece.
Graphics below are showing an idea of a digitail heaven for dead matter beloved to the user and multiplying and morphing it into different entities. Made to rethink current role of VR and cloud internet storage as a modern way of collecting.
